Alcohol free cocktails for kids or adults have always proved popular, and can be a healthy and tasty alternative to traditional alcoholic cocktails which can sometimes be pretty potent. In previous posts I mentioned one or two particularly popular fruit based alcohol free cocktails which are perfect for children’s parties or for any get-together where perhaps some of the adults may be driving or simply wish to abstain from alcohol. In order to provide even more variety here’s another extremely tasty fruit-based cocktail which not only tastes great but looks the part as well.
Orangatang cocktail
This is a non-alcoholic alternative to the classic and ever popular pina colada, with a particularly delicious twist. For this virgin strawberry pina colada you’ll need 8 strawberries, 2 ounces of coconut cream, 5 ounces of pineapple juice and a cup of crushed ice.
Simply put all the ingredients into a blender and blend them all together at high speed. It doesn’t really get much easier than that! Pour the cocktail into a tall glass and decorate with a cherry and a slice of pineapple. Pop in a straw and paper umbrella and you have the perfect creamy summer treat, popular with both children and adults.
This kind of cocktail can be prepared at any time, providing a quick, easy and affordable alternative to traditional alcoholic cocktails. In fact that those people who enjoy cocktails but don’t like the headaches or hangovers afterwards you’ll find a growing number of excellent and popular recipes for virgin cocktails ideally suited for children or adults within this blog.
