Let’s go fishing! Uh now what? A fishing party is a great idea, but if you have never done it, you need to know a few of the basics and the first basic is that it takes some organisation. You can’t just get up one morning and spend the day sea fishing. Fishing for most is a social occasion, so how many people in the party is the first question. The number of people determines the size of the boat and how much each angler will need to pay.

Where do you want to fish, wreck fishing, reef fishing, or shore fishing, all require different tackle and bait so decide early on which is best for your group. Where to sail from, all sea fishing parties start early so a two or three hour drive on the morning in question is not a good idea, find a charter boat near you or go the night before and stay in a hotel. When you have made your decision find a good skipper (call around, word of mouth is a great way to find the right guy) tell him what you need and he will tell you the cost.

Once you know the cost of the trip, get the money from each in your party, if someone has to cancel at the last minute, and you can’t get a replacement, the rest of you will be on the hook: literally. You will need to find out if bait and tackle are included, personally I wouldn’t go with any charter that didn’t, but some don’t so find out. Make sure the guy is fully licensed and that the boat has a good reputation, again word of mouth. Lastly, as with any good fishing party, keep the fish you will eat and release any extras, it’s a good policy, enjoy.

I’d like to share my Go-Kart party theme with you – only you, not them. Let me explain. The birthday party arms race continues to escalate. Literally, my eight and a half year old son plays on a football team with a group of boys. They have been playing together for three years, and seven different seasons. They have become great friends, and invite each other to their birthday parties. All of this is great so far, except that it has left us parents all struggling to make sure that the next party is at least as good, if not better than, the last one. To make matters worse, many of these boys have younger siblings that are right around the age of our six year old daughter. This means a double dose of who has the best birthday party.

Overall, this family interaction is good. However, we know that we must crush them in the birthday party competition. That’s where the go-kart comes in. Nobody has had a go-kart birthday yet. Our son’s birthday is in December, so our plan is to find an indoor go-kart racetrack and host a party there. A quick online search showed that several tracks allow kids as young as three years old to ride along with an adult, so even those families with toddlers will be able to have fun. I am not so sure how the mums will do at the track, but most of the dads will have a blast pretending to be Formula One drivers.

No go-kart themed birthday party would be complete without a Go kart cake. We are planning the party bags too. Please keep in mind that this is our little secret. If you see the Fulchers, the Fosters, or the Lignells, don’t tell them. This round of the birthday party arms race will be won at the race track. Top that, if you can!

Party balloons are obviously a great way to decorate for a party. However, there are all kinds of occasions that party balloons can accent, add to, or punctuate. Most of us just don’t think to use party balloons for alternative occasions.

Showing up for a first date with party balloons can be considered a fun alternative to flowers. Women, as well as men, can appreciate a little something unique for date night that is completely unpredictable but highly appropriate.

Try party balloons for your child’s sporting or academic accomplishment. High marks in schools can be punctuated by party balloons around the dinner table or in their bedroom to signify just how proud you are. For sporting events, balloons can mean more than flowers or even medals, as balloons signify something special, fun, and rewarding about the accomplishment.

There never has to be an actual party for the party balloon to make its way into your home. While they are a great way to accent a birthday or an anniversary, they are also a great way to accent an apology or a make up session.

Party balloons for a coworker having a rough time, or a friend who has been having more than their share of troubles can be a thoughtful little pick me upper that will be highly appreciated. It’s hard to feel down in the presence of balloons simply because balloons make people feel like smiling. Whether they are just plain latex balloons or are foil party balloons, they are quite happy and represent all those things in life that are joyous. Thus, there never is a bad time for party balloons in place of flowers. Join in on the joy of giving the happiest gift on the planet.

A 1st birthday party is a very special event for all families. In older cultures as well as some third world cultures, the 1st birthday party represents the mark of survival as the child made it past the tumultuous first year. In current society it is an ear mark of turning from a baby into a toddler, with all the joys and trials that lay ahead.

Representing the 1st birthday party well is every parent or caretaker’s desire. You put a lot of thought into the party balloons, the specialty 1st birthday cake, and the personalized party invitations. You want everything to be perfect and you will want the big day to go off without a hitch. With everything so well thought through, why not create a time capsule that will show your child just how special their 1st birthday was.

A time capsule for your child’s 1st birthday party includes everyone’s participation. You can request that your guests bring something special, a reminder, of your child’s first year to add to the time capsule. Everyone can place their special memento into the capsule and you can either bury it in the garden before cake or you can place it in a special place in your home if you don’t anticipate living in the same home for the next ten years.

When your child’s 10th birthday (or 15th or 21st) rolls around you already have the big event planned. Digging up a time capsule is a lot of fun. It gives your child a chance to look back at the people that were in their lives and they can see just how much they were loved. Some people place party mementos into the capsule as well, like a deflated party balloon or a party invitation. If there were older children at the party you might have a piece of the piñata or face painting memories.

A Richard Branson island party is best left to those of you who can throw one at home. With the extreme expense associated with one single night on Richard Branson’s island most of us need to look to our own abilities. The £30,000 per night price tag makes the Richard Branson island party a bit out of the league for most people, but there is no reason why we can’t shroud ourselves in the spirit of the island and have our own home grown adventure.

Throwing a Richard Branson island party on the beach is one way to gather your friends for a lower key but fun adventure all of your own creation. Since you are beach bound, plastic party ware, including half pint tumblers and wine glasses are probably the better bet for easy clean up.

Setting up your own Richard Branson island party at the beach gives you access to the water, and many of the extreme water sports that Branson is known for giving a try. Kiteboarding, windsurfing, and extreme jet skiing are all part of the fun on Richard Branson’s island. So why not gather up the equipment from friends and neighbours and throw a cheaper version of the £30,000 per night party?

If you don’t have access to the beach and want to throw a Richard Branson island party, you have the resources around you. Rock climbers and outdoor enthusiasts know that the Branson name wasn’t built on anything less than a spirit for adventure and risk. Bring your own rock, gather your own risks, and jump when ready. After all, most of us can have a better time hanging out with our own friends and doing our own adventures than we could tagging along with the friends of someone we don’t know.

You can use disposable tableware for a picnic if you go about with a sense of ecological responsibility. Your guests, no matter how many there are, can be asked to sort their rubbish into two or three rubbish bins once their food is gone. Colourful plastic party plates are durable enough to hold food and if recycled they end up becoming more colourful party plastic plates or something new and fun.

Plastic glasses, plastic pint and half pint tumblers are the perfect way to serve beer and soft drinks and they can easily be collected at the end of the picnic in rubbish bins for recycling. There is no need for your picnic guests to leave their rubbish all over the ground. Making the rubbish bins easy to identify and easy to empty will make it all the more likely that rubbish will not litter the grounds when you are finished.

Plastic forks, plastic spoons, and plastic knives can be quite hearty and can hold up to the rigors of picnic foods and can also be recycled at the end of the party. Disposable tableware is the easy answer for hosting a picnic while it can be an ecological nightmare when it is left all over the picnic grounds. Using disposable tableware doesn’t mean that you are encouraging litter.

Even if you are hosting an event for a club, and office party, or a committee gathering, disposable tableware is easy to recycle. Sometimes you just have to remind people that their mothers are not around to clean up after them and you have to request that they do it themselves. Sure, you’ll have a few that ignore your requests but most people will happily recycle their disposable tableware in the right receptacle because it makes them feel good. After all, responsible use of disposable tableware is still much easier than dragging all of your good tableware from home.

On July 15th the UK will once again be privy to the adventures of Harry Potter and his friends, and a Harry Potter party is the best way to bring in his new movie. By now, most of us have watched Harry Potter and his classmates grow up and battle evil as they learn to be the best sorcerers we’ve ever known. A Harry Potter party is simple to throw together and a lot of fun for adults and kids alike.

A Harry Potter party is all about the magic. You want to be sure that you set up your party supplies, your party confetti, and even your Harry Potter party invitations in a cloud of magical clout. Bring broom sticks and wands and gather your friends for the magical opening of the latest Harry Potter movie that will keep us abreast of the growing trends.

Your Harry Potter party doesn’t have to involve real magic, although if it does all the better. Just remember to label the pint glasses as magical potions, mix up some green tinged drinks, and bake up some magical biscuits that will make your curious guests want to try them, after they see someone else eat them first.

With a little eye of newt and wart of frog you and your adult friends can ring in the new Harry Potter party with the usual summertime enthusiasm and the joy that most of us experienced as children when we were about to see something truly special. For Harry Potter party fans, a simple reason like the movie release is most definitely enough of a reason to hold a party. Don’t hold back. Let your Harry Potter juices flow and set up a Harry Potter party that will knock the magical socks off your most creative friends

Table confetti is a fun and often decorative asset to any party. If you have a party theme, there is nothing wrong with sticking a little table confetti into the party invitations that match your theme. You can use champagne table confetti for parties like graduation, weddings, anniversaries, and even adult birthdays. You can use some more simple star or heart table confetti in order to produce a nice child’s, love, or specialized party theme.

Of course, one can’t overlook the creative uses for table confetti for your actual party. Decorating candle holders, jars, or even the gift bags with table confetti can bring your party theme out to the forefront. Just add in a few party balloons to bring your theme full circle.

Many people choose to use table confetti as a decorative accent along the tables, along the mantle, or alongside other party decorations. It’s a great way to lead people to the restroom. Simply sprinkle some table confetti on the floor that leads up the stairs to the bathroom or create an interesting path to the downstairs restroom. That way, should someone ask all you have to say is, “Follow the confetti.”

Table confetti can be blended with glitter when you are creating your party décor. Decorate cheap bottles of wine with glitter and sparkling table confetti for an unusual table centrepiece,

Get the kids involved. Even if you are not throwing a kid’s party, table confetti can be used as dress up for everyday things, which the kids will happily decorate for you. There are truly unlimited uses for table confetti, which means the more you open up to your own creativity, the more you are likely to wow your guests with some fancy and unique party décor.

Putting together a dog grooming party is a fun way to make sure that your own dog gets the perfect grooming with all his puppy friends. For many people, this is a fun way to make sure that their own dog receives the vital attention to his coat and nails that can be overlooked when we have busy daily schedules. Dog grooming parties are great socialization periods for dogs while the humans leave with pristine and beautiful animals. Specialized dog grooming party invitations are a great way to kick start your event.

Setting up your dog grooming party isn’t difficult. A few tables, an area for bathing, and some special dog grooming party accessories is often enough to get the ball rolling. Enlisting your more talented grooming friends to deal with hair cuts will help keep things moving nicely. Stuffing a few homemade dog treats into party bags for each dog is a great way to recognize how their good behaviour made your dog grooming party a success.

Moving from baths to grooming can be difficult without a dog dryer, so take some time out after everyone is fresh and clean to toast your party glasses to the new and improved canine population.

Often rotating puppies from one station to another can help keep things organized for your dog grooming party. Allowing people a little freedom to help out in their own way will usually get the job done faster and feeling a lot less like work than fun. At the end of the grooming session, why not bring out two doggie party cakes, one for the humans and one for the pooches? Using specialized dog recipes can help you prepare a feast for the pooches while giving your dog loving friends a nice treat at the end of the session.

During the Christmas time rush, many of us let a few things slip through the cracks thanks to limits on time or money (or both) and before we know it the big day has come and gone without all the attention to detail we wished for.

Never fear, planning a Christmas Dinner in July might mean sweating over the stove for a few hours but the pay off is well worth it. The best part is that you can take the time and effort that you wish in order to put the party plans into full swing. Everything from streamers and confetti perfect for the holiday to the special meal plan is all within your grasp without the same constraints that Christmas brings.

Toast to a new half year with champagne flutes and good friends while gathering those closest to you for an event they will be talking about all the way home and beyond. Those stocking stuffers you didn’t get a chance to grab can be stuffed into party bags, and those extra little touches like Christmas Dinner party cakes can be custom ordered.

Whether you are looking to revisit the warm spirit of Christmas during the warm months, you want to experience a tropical Christmas party, or you just missed those friends that couldn’t make it for your traditional Christmas Dinner you can now pull it all together with a non-traditional Christmas in July. There is no party like the one that comes from your heart so do what strikes you as the best possible Christmas Dinner party and enjoy the fruits of your labour.
