Modelling balloons can be great fun at parties, but not everyone can transform a single balloon into a perfect scale replica of the Eiffel Tower or a recognisable giraffe. In fact very often people’s attempt at a giraffe looks like a poodle and their poodles look like giraffes.

Party bags are an essential element within any children’s birthday party. It’s an unspoken rule that children will be presented with a whole bag of goodies, almost as a reward for deigning to turn up to the party. Children all seem to know it’s likely to happen, and should a parent not choose to include this little tradition then the gossip in the playground (between both parents and children!) can be dreadful. Make sure you don’t make this, almost unforgivable social faux pas, and be prepared.

For your next children’s birthday party you could simply plonk down a bowl of crisps, a plate of ham sandwiches, a platter of sausage rolls and a stack of cakes. But perhaps there’s something else you could do which would make this party food tie in with the theme of the party a little better.
