Can you juggle? One of the many party gift bag toys which we sell is a pack of juggling balls, and these are very popular. They’re the proper weighted leatherette covered balls with the brightly coloured sections on, which are the perfect size to fit in your hand, and a decent weight, which helps with ball control.

Of course, what you won’t want to do is to hand out a pack of three juggling balls to each of the twenty children at your child’s birthday party, because the idea of 60 balls being thrown about your house is likely to be enough to have you reaching hastily for your contents insurance policy.

The solution is easy of course. Rather than handing out the balls to everyone to try out, teach them how to juggle first. If you can already juggle then you’re on to a winner, but if you can’t yet juggle three balls then here’s our very handy guide to juggling three balls. Just don’t come running to us looking for compensation. All juggling balls are sold on condition that you’re wholly responsible for any and all breakages!

Easy Guide To Juggling 3 Balls

1. Hold one ball in your left hand and two in your right.
2. Throw one of the balls in your right hand up to about eye height, and towards the left hand.
3. At exactly the moment the ball reaches the apex of the throw (the highest point before it starts falling) throw the ball from your left hand towards your right, and at about the same height again.
4. At exactly the moment the second ball reaches the apex, throw the third ball from your right hand.
5. Pick up all the balls.
6. Mop up your cup of coffee.
7. Apologise to the neighbours for the expletives.
8. Hold two balls in your left hand and one in your right.
9. Realise you’re holding the balls wrong and swap them over.
10. Pick up the one you dropped.
11. Make a mental note to ring the chiropractor about your back.
12. Hold one ball in your left hand and two in your right.
13. Throw one of the balls from your right hand up and hit yourself in the eye.
14. Drop the other two balls and check you haven’t got a black eye.
15. Mop up the remaining coffee and pick up the pieces of your mug.
16. Take a deep breath and hold two balls in your left hand.
17. Try to find the third ball.
18. Forget juggling with three balls and try juggling with two instead. Hold one in each hand.
19. Get confused, throw both balls together and watch them hit each other right in front of your face before knocking a tooth out.
20. Pick up tooth and place on table. Pick up juggling ball.
21. Try to find other juggling ball.
22. Forget juggling with two balls and try juggling with one instead. Hold ball in right hand.
23. Throw ball to left hand. Catch.
24. Feel smug.
25. Throw ball from left hand to right hand.
26. Casually pick up tooth and try juggling it at the same time as the ball.
27. Throw ball at eye, accidentally swallow tooth and start choking.
28. Pick up ball and hurl with rage.
29. Apologise to child for knocking their tooth out.
30. Give up juggling and book dentist appointment.

Here's a fun and tasty apple cocktail that is completely alcohol free, perfect for both children and designated drivers.

Most of us enjoy the fun that comes with having cocktails at parties, with all those exciting new flavours, combinations and experiences, not forgetting the colours, cherries, olives, straws and fantastic little paper umbrellas that actually work! But the thing is, when it comes to children’s parties the drinks can become rather less imaginative. Offering children a delightful alternative of either orange squash or blackcurrant squash does little to fire up the enthusiasm and fun factor.

So next time it comes to holding a children’s party, or even having a party where the whole family comes round, why not try out the cocktail below that’s specially designed to be fun, tasty and completely alcohol free? Of course not only is it great for the kids, and tremendously popular, but it’s also great for adults, especially those who might be designated drivers.

Appleade:
For this recipe you just need a couple of large apples, a little bit of sugar and some boiling water. It’s quick to make, and extremely tasty. Simply chop up the two large apples and then pour about a pint of boiling water over them. Next, sprinkle a dash of sugar over them and leave the whole concoction to stand for a few minutes.

After a few minutes strain the liquid thoroughly and leave it to cool. Although making this drink doesn’t take long, it’s sensible to prepare it plenty of time in advance because it will take a while to cool down. But don’t worry, because the wait is well worth it!

Once your Appleade has cooled down make sure that you serve it with plenty of ice, and a little apple or lemon garnish as well. Slicing one apple into thin segments means that you can is pop a slice of apple onto the edge of each glass in which your Appleade is served. Don’t forget if you’re serving this up to children to include a straw!

If you are in the market for the perfect cupcakes to enthrall the youngsters at a kids party then it is time to get creative. Most of us grew up on angel sponge cupcakes or chocolate cupcakes, but these days there are endless possibilities when it comes to the perfect kids party treats.

Cup cake recipes are generally not any different from a cake recipe. The baking time is generally the only true variation. Thus, anything you can make into a cake you can turn around and put it in a cupcake dish. Red velvet, carrot, or your grandmother’s special blend can all work perfectly for the cupcake recipe base.

Your icing choices are even more unlimited. A strawberry cupcake with a milk chocolate cream cheese based icing can have even the adults at the kid’s party ogling over the treat tray. Making icing from scratch doesn’t actually take very long and the result is well worth the extra few minutes. This way, just like a cake base, you get to be in complete control over the flavours. You can tone them down or amp them up to suit your needs.

Dressing up your cupcakes for your kid’s party is the of course the cream of the baking process. This is where your creative powers can really shine, even if you aren’t sure how strong those powers are. For those of you who are convinced that you simply don’t have the creative powers of decoration, you can purchase pre made, ready to stick on cupcake party decorations. Whether your event is a birthday party, a school break party, or a party celebrating a first lost tooth, there is a perfect ready made party cupcake decoration out there for you.

Of course, what kid doesn’t love a full sized party cake in the image of their favourite TV or movie character? Shrinking full sized cakes down into a little cupcake might seem like a really big challenge. However, with a little assistance from a professional there is simply no limit to the potential possibilities.

Are you one of the many parents out there that who are struggling to keep up with the house hold budget? If you are not quite sure at the time of your child’s birthday whether you will have enough cash flow to be able to afford all the different elements of a party, like the venue, entertainment and the kids party supplies then don’t worry! In fact 99.9% of the time you will find that you are able to afford a party for your child, but perhaps not in the surroundings that you may have expected.

When the time draws closer to your child’s birthday it will become apparent just how many extra pounds you have to spare, towards your kids party supplies and food etc. Many parents seem to forget that it’s not the materialistic things that make our children happy, it’s the things that have the little personal touches. A pack of invitation cards to send out to your child’s friends will get the ball rolling.

Then it’s a case of on the day making sure that you keep enough cash aside to buy a local chip shop supper for the kid’s to enjoy. A good old chip butty will work a treat with the children, followed by a few bottles of pop. As for the birthday cake they don’t need to cost a lot and you can even try a sponge cake recipe and make your own. A few candles to mark your child’s new calendar age and a DVD will insure that it’s an unforgettable party. Add in some latex balloons and a few cheap kids party supplies like tableware, banners etc. and you’ll have all the traditional key elements for a great birthday party on a budget.

As parents, we always seem to worry about how our kid’s reputations will go down in the playground through our actions! (Well I am not sure if you do, but I have spent many a sleepless night awake wondering about my kid’s, and how well they are interacting and progressing at school). One of the best ways to make the kid’s comfortable at school is to encourage them to build up an army of friends.

If your child is the shy type that seems to stand back from the crowd in socialising and interacting with other children, then it’s never too late as parents to intervene. You can in fact arrange a perfect social gathering for your child. What better way to introduce your child to methods and techniques of socialising than throwing a party.

Many parents seem to think that a party is only an occasion to be held when our children have a birthday to celebrate. But in modern times that’s no longer the case; in fact a party can be thrown without an occasion. You simply need to arrange a date a time and make sure that the kids have party bags to go home with.

The contents of the party bags that you supply to the kids in attendance of the party will be the talk of the playground the next day, so making sure that you get the fillers correct and up to date will make sure that your child is the classroom favourite for the following week. As for the entertainment, you simply need to stick on a kiddie’s movie such as Scooby Doo or High School Musical and serve up chips and hotdog’s as party grub. It may seem like a lot of work for you , but what could be a better reward than the smile on your child’s face.

Every great party has a theme, from birthdays to graduation parties. In fact, when it comes down to how special an occasion truly is, most of the time it is marked by its theme. Think back to your high school disco, every truly momentous dance had a theme that you may even still remember. Most of your birthdays probably did as well.

This is why when you start to choose your kid’s party supplies for an upcoming birthday you want to make sure everything falls in line with their chosen theme. When your children are young, in their nursery school years, likely they are not going to remember many events from each birthday party. However, they will remember the parties you threw that stood out in their minds.

If your child were to choose say High School Musical for their birthday theme, you would want to make sure all your birthday kid’s party supplies matched. This doesn’t necessarily mean every cup, napkin and plate needs to have a print on it, but at least a significant amount do. The rest simply need to be colour coded to match.

Of course the largest kid’s party supplies should carry the theme, such as maybe some cutouts of the theme’s main characters, the happy birthday banner, and of course any balloons you place around the house. You want their birthday party to come to life. These days with the wonders of the net and online shopping facilities available at your finger tips, not only do you have access to a plethora of kid’s party supplies but information for party ideas and games to help you throw a party like a true professional.
