If you are getting ready to plan the food for a children's party you may well be tempted to churn out a dozen or more different plates of finger food, such as sandwiches, sausage rolls, crisps, cakes and other healthy produce. Clearly you wouldn't want to handle, let alone eat, any of the food remaining at the end of the party after it has been handled by so many little darlings.
Food ends up everywhere, the odd argument is inevitable and in many cases children don't always make the best choices. So here's an alternative idea. If you head off to any fast food outlet and order a children's meal it usually ends up all bundled together in a happy little box. So why not do this for your children's party? Create a selection of interesting nibbles and food, wrap it up as a crescent in a little box, and provide one box to each child. Far less mess, far less waste, and a better chance of children eating a better variety of food. It is also likely to be a lot easier to clear up at the end.
