Moving house is always stressful, amongst some of the many concerns for the family that are moving house is what are the neighbours like?! Well we have all watched ITVs famous neighbours from hell show, not to mention the many TV soaps such as corrie and east enders. You certainly don't want the Mitchell's or Battersby's living next door to you. After you have settled into the new home one of the best things to do would be to hold a tea party, and invite along your neighbours. You will be amazed how well this tea party will go down and it will certainly open up the doors for the children to make a few friends on the street. If you are not familiar with your new area, then the neighbours will be able to fill you in on the many activities that are held locally. It's also a great opportunity to keep up to date with the local education scene, especially if you have moved during the summer holidays and haven't decided which school you will be sending your children to. In most cases you will find out that your neighbours are friendly, and pleased to help you out. However you have been warned! If you end up having neighbours from hell what better way to find out first hand! They won't be able to be- grudge the neighbour next door that has invited them round for a tea party and shared a delicious slice of party cake with them. Strange how when buying a house though you never see a spec of 4 bed, 2 bath, 100foot west backing garden, lousy neighbours! Still at least your tea party will give you a bit of a head start.
