As America wakes up today ready to spend the holidays celebrating with friends and family we thought we'd get in on the party atmosphere with these great American themed cakes for the 4th of July.
There is nothing more American than a burger. An independence day BBQ is built around the humble burger, so this Cheeseburger Cake would make a fantastic centerpiece to your American themed party.
No 4th of July party would be complete without a fireworks finale. Our great range of parcel cakes come topped with glittering stars– the perfect design for an Independence Day fireworks cake.
These cakes start from £39 and come in a choice of chocolate sponge, vanilla sponge, coffee flavour or a chocolate-orange flavor too, making them a fantastic choice for all budget ranges.
With American summers being slightly sunnier than ours here in the UK, many 4th of July parties are taken outside to the swimming pool for a Red, White and Blue themed pool party.
If the sun is shining there is no place Americans would rather be today than at the beach. If you happen to be in Florida you may even be lucky enough to see their native turtles nesting on the beach. Our Turtle Cake would make a great choice of American themed cakes for your 4th of July party children’s table.
On July 4, 1776, the thirteen original areas of America claimed their independence from England as a result of the war of independence, an event which eventually led to the formation of the United States. Each year on July 4th, also known as Independence Day, Americans celebrate this historic day with parties, events and fireworks across the country.
Once you have chosen your favourite from our American themed cakes for the 4th of July you will need a BBQ menu to go with it.
BBQ parties, or Cook-Outs as they are know in America, are huge on national holidays such as July 4th. Whole families and neighborhoods come together to cook and eat as one with delights on the menu such as;
Glaze your burgers with a mixture of honey and cayenne pepper before grilling. Serve in a toasted bun with lettuce, tomato and a honey mustard sauce.
Place your hotdog in its bun and squeeze desired amount of mustard, ketchup and/or relish into the inside bottom of each bun. Load 1/3 cup of chili onto each hot dog, and then sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese and onion. Place in a baking pan, cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes at a medium/high heat.
Nachos are a great party snack to serve with our American themed cakes for the 4th of July. Top your Nachos with layers of grated cheese, onions and jalapenos before grilling. Serve with spicy salsa and cooling soured cream.
