Balloons can add a whole new dimension to your party. In order to get the most out of your party balloons, you'll need to carefully plan where to decorate. Obviously it’s important to make sure they are not in every one’s way or in front of fire exits etc. but they still need to be prominent and visible to all.
Table top balloon bouquets can be easily created using either latex or foil balloons. You'll need a disposable helium tank, some balloons, weights and colour coordinated balloon ribbon to complete your ensemble. If using latex balloons choose the same kind of balloon to achieve the best look. Don't mix pastel pearl with ones that have a jewel finish for example, or your balloon bouquet may look a bit odd. Allow about 1.5 to 2.5m of ribbon per balloon so you can stagger the heights. I like to try and repeat the arrangement on each bouquet. It's easiest to inflate one balloon at a time for each bouquet, and secure it to each weight. Do the next balloon and repeat the pattern until you have the desired number of balloons you require for each bouquet.
If you don't mind if your bouquets aren't identical and you just want to achieve an abundance of colour then the best way is to do this one bouquet at a time. Hold the bunch of balloons in your hand and then adjust the height of each balloon by pulling or easing off on the ribbons to get the look you are after. A tip here is if you have lots of balloon then simply trek your finger (from the balloon whose height you want to adjust) down the ribbon to the top of your fist, then pull slightly from the top of your fist to adjust. It's much easier than trying to guess which ribbon belongs with which balloon. Take care here not to cut your finger on the ribbon when you do this, something I still manage to do every time without too many problems!
Balloons are a very inexpensive way to add a big feature to your party. You can place them just about anywhere. A very common way to place balloons is in a net. Usually, this is placed overhead and at the end of the party, the balloons are released to fall on the heads of all your party goers. The crowd will love it, and toss them and kick them around making a fabulous finale to the night’s party celebrations.
In general, balloons are good for any party occasion. They are very versatile and can be used in different ways. The main thing to consider when opting for balloons is creativity, space and availability. When you have all those bases covered, you’ll be well on your way to a creating a great party atmosphere!
