Your daughter’s Frozen party is nearly at it’s end and you’ve some wonderful photos and memories of her special day. Now it’s time to cut the cake, but where on earth to start? Don’t panic! This quick and simple step by step guide to cutting your Frozen birthday cake is accompanied by some helpful images and in just a jiffy, you’ll be slicing like a true professional.

Step 1

Remove the Disney Frozen keepsake characters Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Sven and Christoph from the top of the cake as well as the non edible snowflake decoration and any birthday candles.

Step 2

Using both hands, gently grip the sides of the top cake tier and carefully lift up to remove it. You may need to gently slide a knife around the edges first to loosen the two cake layers.

Step 3

Remove any dowel rods then slice the bottom Frozen birthday cake tier as show here. (note you'll need to remove the dowels from both tiers).

Step 4

Return the top Frozen cake tier to the board and slice this up into portions (oh, but be sure to remove the decorative diamante ribbon first). We found that the butter cream was rather messy to handle, so would have been best to keep a damp cloth to hand for fingers. A fresh knife for cutting the two cakes (we soon  learned) was a sensible idea too! If you're following along with this guide, keep slicing - you’re nearly there now.

Step 5

Brilliant, you've sliced up your Frozen birthday cake! Simply wrap the cake slices in paper napkins ready to pop into your party bags and voila, you’re done.

Step 6

….now take a breath and enjoy the rest of your daughters birthday party with a few nibbles (probably the first thing you’ve eaten all day)…
