If you are reading this article, you either have a baby that is about to turn one, or you are someone who knows a person's baby that is about to break the year mark. This is a very exciting and important time in a baby's life-for you that is! Parents and family members usually find this to be a huge stepping stone and put a lot of effort into their child’s 1st birthday party whilst the guest of honour lays there oblivious to all your hard work.

It is a well known fact that parents go overboard on their child's 1st birthday. Let's face it, your baby is turning one year old; they won't remember it, however they will have a great time, and you'll have life long memories of the event. Try to find just the right 1st birthday party supplies to theme your big day but remember to cater for all the attending adults too.

For the most part, you will have family members there and maybe a few of your friends. If your child goes to daycare, then there will be nursery friends there of course, usually a mix of both boys and girls. The best thing to do is go with a theme, but get party gifts that are not necessarily gender specific. This way, all children will be able to go away with something special in their party bags.

Remember, it is important to pick birthday party supplies that are age appropriate and it is always good to double check the age range on your chosen toys. Children's Party Bags that you can buy pre filled are on the whole suitable for children and not for babies so you'll probably need to do the party bags your self. Do have fun picking out the toys but don't think to hard about them though, after all, the most fun and entertaining toy to a baby is often something as simple a plain old cardboard box!
