When do you Deliver?

We deliver in person, free of charge to our customers usually on Fridays. The cut off points for ordering are:

  • 11:00 Wednesday for Friday delivery

Can I request a delivery slot when ordering my cake?

Sorry you can't book a delivery slot however we are pretty accurate with our advised delivery times. We will advise you by text or by phone the day before delivery of your anticipated delivery time and would ask you to be available an hour either side of this advised time. We regret that we are unable to juggle our delivery times once advised. If for any reason you will not be in, please contact us to advise us of an alternative delivery address we can deliver to within 3 miles of your original delivery address e.g. a neighbour or relative.

Can I have a cake delivered on the day of my party?

When booking your cake please note that you will not be advised of your delivery time until the day before delivery. We are unable to guarantee any delivery times and as such we strongly recommend you request a delivery day prior to your party day whenever possible.

What are your delivery charges?

Delivery is FREE for cake orders and there is no additional delivery charge if you order party supplies, cupcakes or balloon bouquets to be delivered with your cake.

What payment methods do you accept?

You can order securely online using any of the major credit or debit cards with the exception of American Express. We are unable to accept payments with an Electron Card. Alternatively you may prefer to make your payment online via Paypal.

We are happy to receive orders and accept payments over the phone. Again all major credit and debit cards are accepted or should you prefer, we can send you a Paypal request. You don't need to have a Paypal account to make this transaction. Simply use your debit / credit card via Paypals secure payment system. This payment method is commonly used by customers overseas and/or where a card may not be registered within the UK.

Can I order a different balloon bouquet to the ones shown online?

No problem. Please call to order and whether we are delivering with a cake or sending by post we can make a bouquet with your choice of foil balloons.

Can you deliver a cake to a restaurant or hotel?

Usually this is not a problem although you will need to check with your hotel or restaurant beforehand as some smaller restaurants may not have a cool place to store your cake (especially if you party is on another day). Your cake should not be stored in a fridge. Assuming that your chosen venue is happy to receive the cake (and they will be open all day on the delivery day), then this is not a problem. Please advise us of a contact name, phone number and any special instructions for delivery.

I have found a break or technical error on your website and/or I am having problems ordering – what should I do?

When errors occur this can be very frustrating and we do apologise in advance for any difficulties you may experience. You are welcome to call us on 01702 421900 to place your order. We are always very grateful when our customers take the time to let us know if they are experiencing technical difficulties with our website. If you are able to advise us using the contact us page that would be very helpful. If you know which operating system you are using (such as Windows 7 or Vista) and your browser with version number (such as Internet Explorer 9) this would really help us to get the problem fixed as quickly as possible. Can I order a cake at short notice?

As a rule we can usually take orders for cakes and cupcakes available from our website up to 11.00am two working days prior to the required delivery day. To avoid disappointment please try to allow one weeks notice when ordering as this deadline can fluctuate from time to time and without notice.

Can I order just cupcakes?

Yes, our cupcakes can be ordered by the dozen and delivered for Free.

Will my cake look exactly the same as the image on the website?

Our cakes are made by an experienced team of cake decorators. With the exception of our ball and globe shaped cakes we do not use a mould so your cake will be cut and crafted by hand. To manage your expectations we must advise that each decorator has their own ‘signature’ so cakes, whilst all produced to the same high standards, can vary slightly from that shown on the website.

Will my cake be OK for the weekend?

Cakes are baked, cooled, cut, crafted and iced over a 2 to 3 day period (depending upon how much work /detail is required) prior to delivery. They  keep fresh for 7 days, so yes they are perfect for parties over the weekend and into the following week.

How long will my cake last?

We recommend that our cakes are consumed within 7 days after delivery to experience them at their best. Once cut we recommend that any remaining cake is stored in a sealed container. Store in a cool dry place but not in the fridge.

Can I have Gluten Free, Dairy Free or Eggless Cake?

We are unable to offer Gluten Free, Dairy Free or Eggless cakes at this time.

I need a cake for the Monday; will my cake be OK if you deliver the previous Friday?

Absolutely. Our cakes are not made with fresh cream so can be stored at room temperature for upto one week after delivery day. Therefore your cake will be fine for a Monday party if delivered on a Friday or when available, Saturday.

How is my cake packaged?

All cakes are delivered in a crisp white standard bakery cake box.

How long do cupcakes last?

For optimum freshness we recommend that cupcakes are best consumed within 2-3 days following delivery.

Can you leave my cake in the porch or garage?

We always prefer to hand your cake to you in person so that you can check you are completely happy and we also require a signature upon delivery. If however this is not possible we will leave the cake in a secure dry area that you designate such as a porch or garage if you wish. Under such circumstances the cake will be left at your own risk and we do not take responsibility for theft, loss, damage etc under these circumstances. We will decline to leave your cake if we have reason to believe that the area you have designated is likely to cause damage to your cake.

Do you deliver in severe weather conditions?

Bad Weather Policy

We offer a free cake delivery service to our customers covering a 75 mile radius. All our cakes are delivered by Parteaz and we deliver in person on your selected delivery date.

However, in the event of severe weather conditions (in either London and/or any of the Home Counties where we deliver to) we reserve the right to deliver your cake to you on the next available day when severe weather conditions have settled.

As such we strongly recommend customers to order their cake for delivery at least one working day ahead of their event. Customers are welcome to arrange their own collection with us which must be agreed with our customer services manager prior to collection.

We are an online company and as such do not operate a walk in retail outlet for collection. We regret that we are unable to offer a refund if we are unable to deliver (or you are unable to collect) your cake in time for your party or event.

Delivery Times in relation to Bad Weather

Our usual practice of texting the day before delivery with your anticipated delivery time (plus or minus one hour) still applies. However, in circumstances where the weather is bad but we are still attempting to get your cake to you as arranged, please bear in mind that it is unlikely that we will be able to keep to these times in any way. In the event that you are out when we deliver we will make every effort to find the nearest safe place/neighbour to leave your cake and text you with the details. A text or note on the door from you advising where we can deliver the cake would be greatly appreciated.

If we are unable to find a neighbour/safe place to leave your cake please note that you will be responsible for arranging collection from our base in Southend, Essex on an alternative date.
